First a word about artwork requirements....

OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE: THE QUALITY OF THE ARTWORK CREATED AND READIED FOR PRODUCTION DIRECTLY AFFECTS THE FINAL LOOK OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. IF YOU DECIDE TO USE SELF-DESIGNED OR PREVIOUSLY-DESIGNED ARTWORK THAT IS LESS THAN 100% PERFECT TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS IN ART CHARGES, THEN IT IS REASONABLE TO EXPECT THE FINISHED PRODUCT TO BE LESS THAN 100% PERFECT. WE SIMPLY CANNOT PRODUCE PERFECTLY PRINTED CUSTOM LOGO PRODUCTS WITHOUT PERFECT DESIGN AND PERFECT PRE-PRODUCTION.

IF YOU WANT ONLY EMBROIDERED/PRINTED TEXT (no graphic/logo/design/image) ON YOUR PRODUCTS, THERE ARE NO DESIGN FEES Text setups include only type/letters/words; no outlines, graphics, icons or logos included.

EMBROIDERY:

There are two parts to creating an embroidered image: the development of a logo or graphic design, and the digitizing of that design to create a computer file that instructs the embroidery machine what to sew where. These are two distinct processes.

Digital art files of logos or designs are created and saved from a professional graphics program or exported from a graphics program. Acceptable graphic program formats include files created in Photoshop, Freehand, Quark, PageMaker, CorelDraw, Illustrator, or any paint program that can export an image. Acceptable exported file formats include Corel Draw (.cdr), Corel PhotoPaint (.cpt), Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Photoshop (.psd), Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) - (eps must be pc not mac), gif, jpeg, or bmp at any resolution, but the higher the better. Any and all fonts and attachments must be included with every file type, or all fonts must be turned to paths and the name of those fonts used in the artwork provided. Images taken from websites are acceptable for creating digitized embroidery files, so long as they are large enough to see clearly.

PRINTING:

The printing prices listed by the Zoe Zen Creations reflect the customer providing a design that is "100% READY FOR PRODUCTION". If a design is not "100% READY FOR PRODUCTION", then design and pre-production fees will be charged as a part of the job, as this graphics work requires the time and knowledge of a highly skilled professional.  There are no hidden fees, all prices are disclosed and agreed to before any work is completed.

Zoe Zen Creations is happy to work with outside designers, agencies and design-oriented customers who wish to provide art that is "100% READY FOR PRODUCTION", so that these fees can be avoided. We suggest, however, that only those who are highly experienced in design and printing production attempt to provide final artwork to us.

Art that is "100% READY FOR PRODUCTION" means that an art staff member will be required to do no more than open a digital file and hit the print button. IF ANY FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED, THEN ART PRE-PRODUCTION CHARGES WILL BE BILLED. Standard turn-around time for pre-production work is three business days; if a shorter time period is required, a rush charge of 20% will be added to any fees charged.

DIGITAL FILES: Digital art files include those designs created and saved from a professional graphics program or those designs exported from a graphics program at HIGH RESOLUTION.

Our file format of choice is a PDF (LAYERS PRESERVED) file that can be opened and resized at any size and resolution we require. Acceptable exported files include Corel Draw (.cdr), Corel PhotoPaint (.cpt), Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Photoshop (.psd), Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) - (eps must be pc not mac), SO LONG AS THESE EXPORTED FILES ARE PROVIDED AT THE FULL SIZE OF THE INTENDED REPRODUCTION AT HIGH RESOLUTION (a minimum 300 dpi). Any and all fonts must be included with the exported file, or all fonts must be turned to paths prior to export.

Our program format of choice is Corel Draw. Acceptable graphic program formats include files created by Photoshop (layered), Freehand, and Illustrator. Please note that MICROSOFT WORD, POWERPOINT OR PAINT PROGRAM FILES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE DIGITAL FILES AND CANNOT BE USED! To output properly, any and all attachments and fonts must be included with the native file, or all fonts must be turned to paths.

TO BE CONSIDERED "100% READY FOR PRODUCTION" AND AVOID PRE-PRODUCTION CHARGES, ALL FILES MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED ABOVE.

File formats: (.jpg, .gif, .tiff, .bmp, .cpt, .psd) or preferably, vector (.eps, .ai, .cdr, .pdf)

A photograph of artwork, people, pets, cars etc.  is not print ready.
